I must say it, I have tremendous imposter syndrome with my book, something that hadn’t happened to me for a long time. I can’t stop thinking that even though I like it a lot I will be the only one 😓, even when they have given me very good comments about it.

On the other hand, I couldn’t be happier with all the support I have received from a lot of people. I didn’t expect it, it has been so much that sometimes I think the one who believes least in my ability as a writer is me.

This is my first book, I hope of many more, so to be honest I expected little response, maybe my family and one or another friend with whom I speak very often, but it has been much more than that. Even before having the printed books I already had almost the entire first batch reserved.

It is here where the importance of support in what one does has become very clear to me, but even more in things that have to do with art and creativity. In the case of entrepreneurship it is also important, but I think that in those, the sales themselves are what encourage you to move forward. In the case of art and writing in particular, where at least personally I don’t do it for money but because I like it and want to share it with others, the support I have received has been very very encouraging to continue in it.

Don’t misunderstand me, of course the dream is that the book sells and many people read it, the more the better, but it is not the main objective, it is more for love of art. In fact, in a future post I will talk about how much one earns selling a book and you will confirm it yourselves, unless you are a best seller what a writer earns is a pittance 😅.

Now that at least about 100 people already have the book in their hands, what follows is a part that makes me very nervous, waiting to see their reactions 😁. I am already quite grateful to everyone, you can’t imagine how much, that you have trusted me who is starting as a writer is invaluable, and I will appreciate even more whoever takes a few minutes to tell me honestly their opinion about the story. As in everything I always try to improve and your opinions will be very important. Actually, there are two things that interest me.

  1. If the story is coherent and understandable.
  2. If it is entertaining and made you have a good time or bored you and/or you left it.

Regarding my own reaction, in some article I mentioned that what I sought was to write a story for me, with the things I like. I know my opinion doesn’t count and is the most partial that can exist, but I am very happy because when re-reading the book I still like it and I think I achieved what I wanted. I will definitely continue writing and I hope that each new project is better than the previous one.
