I have been mentioning that I am writing a book, well I finished it!
The book is called El Sonido de la Noche (The Sound of the Night), it is a Pre-Hispanic Fantasy story, something like a Lord of the Rings (I wish it were 10% as good) but set in a fictional world based on Pre-Hispanic Latin America, with tints of diverse cultures, especially Maya and Aztec, but also other smaller ones.
Here is the synopsis:
The war has arrived in Calaktum, the Nazor are already very close. No one knows what they seek, only about their enormous taste for destruction. They already took Xa-Log, the great city of the South, and the only thing protecting the kingdom is the Coyote Army, which defends its post fiercely. Although something strange happens, it is as if the Nazor appeared one day to attack with all their power and the next day they disappear without a trace. Even so, the army’s forces are increasingly reduced and they would already have been defeated were it not for a set of mountains that function as a natural defense and for the help of the Tezcal, a group of warlocks who can do inexplicable things. The problem is that their settlement is very far to the North and their secrecy is extreme; it is only a matter of time before the Nazor cross and the entire kingdom is at their mercy. Iktan, like any other young man his age, does not worry much about it. He and his friend Trop are more worried about being nomadic merchants thanks to their grandfather Bej who was also one and lit the spark in them. But when he tells them the story of how he became a merchant, an adventure arises that leads Iktan and Trop to help him achieve a goal he had since he was young, and which turns out to be related to the war, even to the point of being able to change everything.
At this moment I am with the last edits to check that everything makes sense and improve formatting and spelling aspects. I plan to publish the book on September 30 on Amazon; I will be announcing it here.
Meanwhile, it is a pleasure for me to share the map of the world where the story takes place, of course, it is a fictional world.

A few posts ago I shared the first chapter. Here I also shared the cover and how I made it without knowing how to draw.
